A DayZ map for Xbox.
Xbox players get the same DayZ everyone else does, minus the one thing PC players can fall back on: mods. No map mod, no overlay, no console commands.
Point a phone or tablet at the screen you play on. Nothing is installed on the console or the PC, and no server mod is needed.
What Xbox players need to know.
No mods on console
The server-side map mods PC players use to see their position cannot run on Xbox. That leaves reading road signs and guessing — or a camera pointed at the screen.
Series X, Series S and Xbox One all work
ZLocator reads the picture, not the hardware. Anything that puts DayZ on a screen works.
Nothing is installed on the console
No capture card, no second account, no app on the Xbox. Your phone or tablet does all of it.
Finding your squad
Once you know which town you are in, telling a squadmate where to meet stops being guesswork — the app names the place and gives the distance.
Your phone watches the screen, and the map follows you.
One frame roughly every three seconds is cropped to the area you locked, matched against reference views captured by walking the terrain, and turned into a marker on the map — with the nearest town named and the direction you are facing. The full explanation is on the front page.

Straight answers.
Is there a map for DayZ on Xbox?
Only the in-game paper map, which does not show your position. ZLocator does, from a second device.
Can I use map mods on Xbox?
No. DayZ on console does not support mods, which is why a camera-based app is the only way to get a live position.
Does it work on Xbox One as well as Series X?
Yes. The app looks at the screen, so the console generation makes no difference.
