The DayZ Badlands map, Nasdara, is coming to ZLocator.
DayZ Badlands comes out on 15 October 2026 on all platforms, and it brings Nasdara: a desert province of 267 km², the largest official DayZ map. We start mapping it the day it is released.
The app is out now for Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal. Point a phone or tablet at the screen you play on. Nothing is installed on the console or the PC, and no server mod is needed.

The terrain
What we know about Nasdara.
A desert province on a border
Nasdara Province sits on the western border with Ardistan. The Dasht-e Sarman desert comes in from the east, and border mountains close the west.
Valleys and ridges instead of forest
Tall forest and rolling hills are gone. Bohemia describes sparse vegetation, deep valleys and sizeable ridges, with green mostly along the Sefid Darya and Siyah Darya rivers.
No coast
Nasdara is landlocked. A large highway runs across the whole southern part of the map.
Sandstorms
Badlands adds sandstorms, along with motorbikes, rebuildable houses and underground facilities.

How Nasdara gets into the app.
Walk the whole map
We walk Nasdara in-game from edge to edge and capture reference views from every angle. It is the largest official map, so this is the longest walk we have done.
Build the map and the index
The map you pan in the app and the index the camera is matched against are both built from that walk, the same way as for Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal.
Test it by playing
Before Nasdara goes into the app, we play on it with the app running and check that the marker finds the right place.
Ship it in an app update
Nasdara arrives as an update to the app. The same subscription covers it.
How it works
Your phone watches the screen, and the map follows you.
One frame roughly every three seconds is cropped to the area you locked, matched against reference views captured by walking the terrain, and turned into a marker on the map — with the nearest town named and the direction you are facing. The full explanation is on the front page.

On 15 October 2026, on all platforms, according to Bohemia Interactive. It adds the new map Nasdara.
Can I use ZLocator on Nasdara now?
Not yet. The app recognises Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal. We start mapping Nasdara on release day, and it comes to the app in an update once it has been tested in real play.
When will Nasdara be in the app?
We do not give a date before the map has been walked and tested. We start on 15 October and will say when it is ready.
How big is the Nasdara map?
267 km² according to Bohemia Interactive. That is the largest official DayZ map, bigger than Chernarus (225 km²).
Do I have to pay extra for Nasdara?
No. One ZLocator subscription covers every map, including the ones we add later.
